The Committee

The Annual Lake Bluff Parade is produced by the all-volunteer Lake Bluff 4th of July Committee.

Planning and running the parade is no small feat and there is always a need for more volunteers. Parade committee members participate in monthly meetings, make decisions about the parade and lend expertise in areas of knowledge or interest.

Committee roles include treasury, finance, sponsorship, information technology, parade content, book production, communications and social media, VIP management and logistics.

Our planning process starts in September and relies on the welcome assistance of fifty additional dedicated volunteers and strong support from the Village Board, Police Department, Public Works as well as our partners.

We hold meetings monthly, but it's not all work and no play. We savor the efforts of our partners at the Firemen's Ball and the Kiwanis Club's Pancake Breakfast.

Our Partners

Five Lake Bluff Service Organizations, working together, insure that the Fourth of July will always be a special holiday in our community. The 4th of July Committee's objective is "To provide an entertaining celebration of our nation's successful struggle to become and remain independent, designed to be positive, family friendly, safe and supportive of local commerce, social and service clubs". The five Lake Bluff organizations who independently conduct their own community activities but collectively volunteer their talents to the Lake Bluff 4th of July Committee are:
